The Scala plugin makes IntelliJ IDEA the most popular and powerful IDE for the Scala programming language. It provides world-class coding assistance and integration with many tools from the Scala ecosystem.
The team consists of 10 distributed team members located in St. Petersburg, Munich, and Amsterdam.
If you know how to communicate with people, enjoy digging into technical problems and want to help Scala developers around the world, we encourage you to apply.
Provide technical support to the users via the help-desk system, community forums, issue tracker, and other media.
Investigate issues reported by users and help with bug localization.
Gather information on most important problems (“pain points”) for the team.
Review long-standing issues in the bugtracker.
Technical background and/or some programming experience.
Basic knowledge of any JVM-based language (Scala is a plus but not a must).
Excellent written English.
Experience in technical support or quality assurance.
Ability and desire to work efficiently without direct supervision.
Ability to work in a distributed team.
Familiarity with IntelliJ Platform-based IDEs.
Experience with using Help Desk software (Zendesk, Freshdesk, UserVoice, etc.).
Experience in using bug-tracking systems (we use YouTrack).
